The Library

The Ark's specialist reference library on issues relating to race, crime and policing is based in Stratford in east London and is available to visit by appointment only during office hours (9.30am to 5.30pm).

What does the Library contain?

The Ark Library & Information Service contains our extensive collection of books, journals, videos & CD-ROMs, documents and press cuttings.

The Library uses its own specifically designed cataloguing system that divides the collection into 19 categories - click here for more information on the subject headings.

FUTURE PLANS

Eventually, we intend to find funding to recruit for the following post:

Information Officer
To manage a full Library and Information Service. This will handle enquiries from visitors and respond to specific external requests for information. The Information Officer will also ensure the acquisition of the latest information, publications and journals on issues relating to racism, crime and policing.
